Will TEA Parties lead to The TEA-Party?

The government is taking notice of the TEA-Parties which sprang up across the nation in a grass-roots movement to protest the government spending led by President Obama and the Democratic Leadership in Washington.

Whereas taxpayers in the United States are expressing their opposition to high taxes and skyrocketing spending by the United States Government by organizing ‘‘Taxed Enough Already’’ parties, also known as ‘‘TEA’’ parties:

Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Senate designates each of April 15, 2009, and April 15, 2010, as ‘‘National TEA Party Day’’.

The Riehl World View

With this recognition there are 2 possible reasons, that I see for this. 1. The Republicans want to influence the direction the TEA-Party is going or 2. The current parties are afraid that the TEA-Party is going to become a political party in it’s own right.

There is political precedence when the New Republican Party broke off from the Democratic Party they started as a series of movements and gatherings protesting everything from immigration to slavery.

It’s not unreasonable to think that in the next 4 to 8 years we could see the birth of a Strong grass-roots based political Party which stands a chance to run and win against both the Democrats and the Republicans.

IMO the Republican party and the Democratic party are drawing ever closer together on their stances. Is there any real difference? *shrug* I’m not a political analyst, I’m jsut me. I know what I hear, and what I see and what it makes me think.

I realize this post isnt’ exactly an up-lifting post, but sometimes you have to encourage people to think.

I don’t know if I will be able to support a TEA-PARTY but the tea-parties around the natino I think deserve support. The government seems to be starting down a slipper slope that none of us want to traverse yet we may have no choice. We have to be prepared to deal with things as they change.

We can always lean on the Word of God no matter who is in charge or who is in office,
Proverbs 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thine own understandings. In all thine ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
