What holds us near to God?
Sunday, March 29th, 2009Adam and Eve were not innocent. They understood how the world worked. How everything in the world worked. They had never sinned, because they were obedient to God. They were innocent of sin because they were obedient. Their obedience is what kept them close to God. It Kept them constantly in communion with Him. When they decided to disobey, that is what separated them from the mercy of God, not innocence or the lack of innocence, but the fact that they had disobeyed. There are tons of other things which need to be added to this, but it’s a brief thought.
